Innovation skills are desperately needed but rarely taught.

We are experiencing unparalleled acceleration in the pace of change through disruptive technologies and

emerging business models.

Most large organizations are facing the threats and opportunities presented by innovation - often by unlikely or overlooked sources and face significant challenges.

Innovation methodologies are paramount

to remain competitive in today’s marketplace.

But is there a viable training solution

for time-starved professionals? Yes.

John will help
solve these 4 core challenges!

Scarcity of time for leaders to obtain innovation education through accredited programs or lengthy (and expensive), multi-stage consulting programs.

Eroding margins that require new innovations to replace older products and services

Are you facing

any of these dangerous risks?

Cultures that are risk averse, anti-creative and slow moving

Leaders that lack innovation know-how: the mindsets, skillsets and toolsets to create innovative teams and cultures

Innovation Mindsets, Processes, Tools, and Culture

Some well-intentioned leadership behaviors have unintended consequences that can kill innovation efforts and cause employee departures. Based on case studies, learn the key characteristics of the “knower” mindset (closed to innovation) and the “learner” mindset (open to innovation).

Discover language and tools you can immediately put into practice to encourage the learner mindset to flourish, boost employee retention, and kick-start innovation on an individual and group level.

Innovation Kryptonite - Knower vs. Learner

Learn the neuroscience of stress and performance. Discover three essential and simple resilience-boosting techniques to begin using today. Explore a new model of resiliency, one where proactive challenges are designed to build capacity for even greater performance under pressure and adversity.

The Resilient Innovation Leader

When change is coming, and the pressure is on, unpleasant drama can rear its ugly head. Mid-level leaders are often in the most difficult positions in the business — facing pressures from above to change, adapt and innovate — all while cutting costs AND leading and managing teams with scarce resources.

Teams can fall into a “conflict cycle” that include people who act as victim, rescuer, and persecutor. Learn to identify this behavior, then reframe it and create a healthy innovation ecosystem with the roles of coach, challenger, and innovator.

Innovation Antibodies - Victim vs. Creator

Innovation primer (what is effective innovation) and where should an organization invest its resources; Design Thinking overview learn about two innovation archetypes (personalities) that are essential for innovation to succeed - Creative Visionaries and Operators; Discover the pitfalls of not having a good balance of these archetypes

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Is it time for a new approach? Through the metaphor of sport, learn how individuals and teams can use Design Thinking to identify and leverage their unique strengths (and design around weaknesses).

Designing for strengths empowers leaders to:

 1) Solve old problems in new ways and achieve breakthrough results,

 2) Decide what to delegate or outsource; and

 3) Achieve greater engagement and better relationships with customers and colleagues.
